Effective date: October 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the drafting and modeling services provided by Plains Great Corp., doing business as Standing Draft ("Standing Draft," "we," "us" or "our") to you and the firm or business you represent ("you" or "client"). By paying for a service, submitting files, or sending us a request, you agree to these Terms. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls wherever it conflicts with these Terms.
Standing Draft provides drafting and modeling services (CAD and Revit) to architects, interior designers and contractors. Our work is produced from the drawings, sketches, scans, markups and other source materials you send us.
We confirm the scope of each request in writing before work begins, usually at kickoff. The founding project is one defined drawing set, as described when you order it. Work outside the confirmed scope is a change in scope and needs your approval before we begin.
We work from the materials you provide. We do not visit job sites, and field verification of existing conditions remains your responsibility. 3D scanning is available through partner firms and is quoted separately.
Our business days are Monday through Friday, Pacific Time.
You agree to:
We draft what the source materials show. If those materials contain errors or gaps, our work may carry them forward. We will flag problems we notice, but we are not responsible for errors in materials you supply.
Standing Draft is a drafting and modeling service. We are not architects, engineers or other licensed design professionals in connection with these services. We do not stamp, seal, sign or certify any drawing, model or document, and nothing we deliver is a professional opinion.
Your licensed architect or engineer remains responsible for the design and for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and permitting requirements. That professional must review, approve and, where required, stamp all work before it is used.
Requests. You may add requests to your queue at any time. Each plan sets a monthly capacity limit, made up of the number of requests we work on at one time (active requests) and the number of model credits included each month. When an active request is finished, the next request in your queue begins. Unused model credits roll over for 1 month, or for 2 months on the Department plan. Credits that are not used by then expire.
Turnaround. Turnaround times are counted in business days, Monday through Friday, Pacific Time. A turnaround is a commitment only when we state it to you in writing for a specific request. The clock pauses while we are waiting on your files, your answers or a decision on scope, and it restarts when we have what we need.
Rush. You may ask for rush handling on any request. Rush work is charged at 50% more than the standard price and is subject to our confirmation.
Revisions. We revise delivered work until it matches your redlines or source drawings. Changes beyond that, such as new design direction or added scope, are a change in scope and may be handled as a new request.
Fees are in US dollars. Current prices are:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Founding project (one defined drawing set) | $997, one time |
| Studio plan | $1,495 per month |
| Production plan | $2,995 per month |
| Department plan | $4,995 per month |
| Annual billing | Pay for 10 months, get 12 |
Billing. All plans are billed up front, either monthly or annually. Annual billing includes 2 months free, which means you pay for 10 months and receive 12. We may pause work on your account while an invoice remains unpaid.
Founding project credit. If you subscribe to a monthly plan within 30 days, the $997 you paid for the founding project is credited to your first month.
Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect on your next billing date.
Add-ons. The following are available for an additional fee:
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time by emailing sam@standingdraft.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, and you keep access to your plan until then.
Pause. Instead of cancelling, you may pause your subscription for up to 1 month per year.
Refunds. We do not refund the current month or, for annual plans, the current annual term once it has started. This applies whether or not you use your full capacity.
If we miss a turnaround that we committed to in writing, and the delay is on our side, we will give you a $250 credit on your next invoice.
The on-time credit is our only obligation, and your only remedy, for a missed turnaround.
You own the deliverables we create for you once you have paid for them in full. Until payment is made in full, we keep ownership of the deliverables, and you may not use them for construction, permitting or any other purpose.
You keep ownership of all materials you give us. You grant us a limited license to use those materials solely to perform the services for you. We may not use your materials for any other purpose.
We will not publish, display or describe your work, your projects or your name without your written permission.
We keep the right to use our general know-how, methods and drafting techniques, as long as we do not reveal your confidential information.
We treat your files and project information as confidential. We use them only for your engagement, and we limit access to the members of our team who need them to do the work. On request, we will sign a reasonable non-disclosure agreement.
If we use subcontractors or partner firms, such as scanning partners, we share your materials with them only as needed to perform your services, and only if they are bound by written confidentiality obligations at least as protective as those in these Terms.
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect your files from unauthorized access, loss or disclosure. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
After your engagement ends, we will delete or return your files on request, except where the law requires us to keep them. Confidentiality obligations continue after termination. For more detail on how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.
We perform our services with reasonable skill and care. Except for that commitment, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the services and all deliverables are provided "as is," and we make no other warranties, whether express or implied. This includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that any work will be approved by a permitting authority, that it complies with any code or regulation, or that it is suitable for construction. Those determinations belong to your licensed professionals and the authorities that have jurisdiction.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services, whatever the legal theory, is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, even if advised that such damages are possible.
These limits do not apply to the extent the law does not allow them to be limited, and they do not limit your obligation to pay fees you owe.
You agree to defend and indemnify Standing Draft against third-party claims, and the losses, damages and reasonable costs that result from them, to the extent they arise from the materials you supply to us. This includes claims that your materials infringe another party's rights or that you did not have the right to provide them.
We will tell you promptly about any claim, give you reasonable cooperation at your expense, and allow you to control the defense, as long as you do not settle in a way that imposes obligations on us without our consent.
You may end your subscription at any time, as described in the cancellation section above. We may end your subscription, after written notice, if you do not pay fees when due, materially breach these Terms and do not fix the problem within a reasonable time, or use our services unlawfully.
When the engagement ends, you must pay all fees owed through the end of the paid period, and we will deliver completed work for which you have paid. Sections that by their nature should continue, including ownership, confidentiality, fees owed, warranties disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, continue after termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, each party will first try in good faith to resolve the dispute by contacting the other in writing and allowing 30 days to work it out. If that does not resolve the dispute, either party may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in that state, and each party consents to their jurisdiction and venue.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this website with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will also email active clients. Changes apply to services we perform after the effective date of the update, and price changes will not affect a period you have already paid for. If you do not agree to a change, you may cancel as described above before the change takes effect. By continuing to use our services after that point, you accept the updated Terms.
